Not about programming, but very useful. As a computer scientist, is usual to write technical documents for people which contains snippets of code of any programming language or database stuff. Problem comes when you have to write single or double quotes and you get the “final user” quotes style instead straight double and single quotes we write when we are programming. Those are called smart quotes. It’s possible to change them?
I was thinking today if it was possible to change this behavior in Microsoft Office suite while editing a Powerpoint Presentation for a JAVA training that i give, and i found this useful article.
Basically, you disable the autocorrection feature that changes double or single quotes as you write them from smart to normal. When you disable that option, it remains like this on the application which you changed it (Word, Powerpoint). Very useful for us as developers.
